Cafe Closure

Hi there friends of Caffe Calabria, 

Just a quick update on our cafe....

We are going to be closed through Sunday July 25. The cart will be out from Saturday and Sunday from 7am-3pm, again, CASH ONLY, serving drip coffee and espresso drinks. 

Caffe Calabria will be open for normal business Monday July 26.

Here's what you need to know to stay up to speed this week at Caffe Calabria:

CAFE CLOSED FOR MAINTENANCE JULY 19-24
We will have a coffee cart out front serving drip coffee and espresso drinks. The cart will be operating from 6am-11am and will be CASH ONLY.

World Cup 2010 coverage in our cafe was a huge success, and we have you to thank! We are the OFFICIAL WORLD CUP FAN ZONE for the following countries: ITALY, SPAIN, ARGENTINA, GERMANY and IVORY COAST. It comes for just one month every four years, so plan ahead and make Caffe Calabria your go-to spot for World Cup action June 11 to July 11. 2010!

NEW MENU. Our new menu is finished and we are finalizing pricing in the coming weeks.

CINECUCINA. This weekend is full of opportunities to get involved in San Diego's Italian Film Festival. This year's focus is on the Slow Food movement. Register today at www.sandiegoitalianfilmfestival.com.

UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE FINALS. ITS HERE! The game is this Saturday, May 22, kickoff is at 11:30. With Soccer Fanatic giveaways, beer specials, and high energy soccer on 8 large screen TVs, you know exactly where you want to be, and thats right here at Caffe Calabria. Don't miss it!

EXTENDED HOURS. We are working diligently to ready the cafe for our new extended hours. We are in the process of tasting beer and wine to put together a concise list with great selections for you and your friends. Whether its an afternoon beer with friends, a late night study session, or an post meal espresso stop, Caffe Calabria will be the spot you choose WEDNESDAY-SUNDAY TIL 11PM.

WORLD CUP. Are you anticipating this as much as we are? The 8th and final flatscreen TV has been delivered, and we are putting finishing touches on our updated drink menus. The fun begins FRIDAY JUNE 11!!! Caffe Calabria is THE Official Fan Zone for Germany, Argentina, Ivory Coast, Spain and of course ITALY! Be here.

PIZZA, PIZZA, PIZZA. This fall will change pizza in North Park forever. Pizza training in Naples starts in August, as well as visits to dairy and tomato farms to source our mozzarella and tomato sauce, as well as interviews with pizza chefs. This will be the REAL DEAL.
